The Greek
Road Federation
The (G.R.F.) Greek
Road Federation was founded in 1955 as the professional and scientific
Association that represents all legal entities and individuals,
related to the study, construction, exploitation or use of the
streets and of the road
network,
and interested in their growth and development.
The G.R.F.
enumerates
today a large number of members, which, in their majority, are specialized
companies or specialized professionals of the private or public sector;
they are responsible for the planning, implementation, operation,
maintenance, use and exploitation of streets and the road network of
Greece, aiming to provide more convenience and more safety in the road
transfer of persons and goods.
Analytically the
main targets of the Greek Road Federation includes:
1. The
contribution to the study of all problems related to road and road
traffic from social, legal, financial and technical view.
2. The pursue,
backing and support of every action that aims to develop, improve and
protect the road network of Greece, to facilitate and guarantee the road
traffic and to achieve satisfactory and cheap transports.
3. The
promotion of Greek Road Federation's objectives, to the authorities and
to the public.
4. The
development of a common conscience for the need of existence of a modern
road network, capable to serve the national, economic, land-planning and
social needs of the Greek people.
5. The
accomplishment of any action, that is related to the objectives of the G.R.F. and aims to serving them.
The Greek Road
Federation is member of the
International Road
Federation (I.R.F.)
and its legal representative over the Greek Territory.
